When the Rain Comes

Last night Melanie and I went to the Banpo Bridge Water Fountain show with our new friends from Germany, Andy and Simon. It was beautiful to see the water shoot from of the bridge and into the Han River. After we walked in a nearby park. One interesting thing about South Korea is that they have gym equipment in all the parks! I guess they really encourage physcial education..:) After playing on gym equipment we grew very hungry so we searched for a fun restaurant near by. We walked and walked but all the shops were closed. Then we came across a cute little shop that offered homecooked meals. The owner was kind enough to let us in way after closing hours because she was worried that we hadn't eaten. She along with some good friends had been eating together and celebrating the recent graduation of a son. After letting us in they brought us large trays of rice, pork, kimchi, seaweed soup, tofu curry, and other side dishes. They were very attentive to our needs and were always asking if it was good or if we needed more. They were so kind!!!^^ Their english was veryyyy good so talking to them was very comfortable. The owner was so kind as to make us tea! After we had finished everything, one of the friends stood up and announced she was paying for our food. Their kindness and charity was beyond anything i could have hoped. Here we were 4 foreigners who couldn't speak the language very well and fresh in town taken in by these kind people who didn't know anything about us, but were still so concerned for our well-being. It warmed my heart. Funnn stuff!!:) So far we've had so many new experiences! Meeting new friends, ordering food, and wandering around the city. There is so many things to learn! Seoul is such a beautiful city with kind people! We can't wait to learn more!!:) Tonight we are going to karaoke with friends! Yayyyy!! Look forward to new posts!! 안녕!
